Thank you NICU nurses!

There is no doubt that the doctors and nurses that took care of Jax saved his life. This video is a tribute to the people who saved Jaxson’s life and changed ours…

Oh man, what an adventure! I went into labor unexpectedly when I was 23w3d pregnant. Jaxson was born weighing 1 lb 8 oz. A tiny little peanut, but boy was he feisty. He still is! We love it now, but we probably won't when he is a teenager. I write about our journey and all other things that come with it, including a brain tumor. We look forward to "meeting" you - come hang out with us...we're pretty cool.

In honor of National Nurses Week, I wanted to share this video we made soon after Jax was discharged from the hospital. We are so thankful for the nurses who helped save Jax’s life and who helped us cope with and manage the stress and fear that came with having a baby in the hospital. Thank you, nurses, for everything you did to help our family.

  3. What a heartwarming video!! I’ve been following Jaxson’s story from the beginning. I am a friend of Betsy (Hammer) Kelley’s and although I don’t know your family the story of your little fighter touched my heart and I couldn’t stop reading the updates! God has blessed your family in unbelievable ways and you will give so much hope and encouragement to other families struggling through similar situations. I am so happy to hear that Jaxson is thriving and I wish you all the best!!!
