Bye Bye Oxygen (For Good!)

Today is a great day! Today is the day we get to say goodbye to all of our home oxygen equipment! Jaxson’s pulmonologist ordered it to stay in our home, even after Jax no longer needed it everyday. She wanted it available as “back up” in case he did not do well with his first sickness. When we saw the doctor last week, she saw first-hand how well Jax was handling his first cold and bronchiolitis, so she gave the ok to remove the oxygen equipment. (At this point, if Jax needed oxygen support, it would be serious enough where he would be in the hospital.)

So. Sayonara, oxygen. We will NOT miss you!

See ya...never again!
See ya…never again!

In other news, we got another 6 inches of snow last night. Jax doesn’t seem to mind, but mom and dad sure do! Being on lock-down this winter made all of us a little stir crazy and feeling a lot cooped up. And with this snow at the end of April, this literally has been the longest winter, ever! Oh well, this way the daffodils, crocuses, and tulips will be even more of a treat…if spring ever shows up.

Oh man, what an adventure! I went into labor unexpectedly when I was 23w3d pregnant. Jaxson was born weighing 1 lb 8 oz. A tiny little peanut, but boy was he feisty. He still is! We love it now, but we probably won't when he is a teenager. I write about our journey and all other things that come with it, including a brain tumor. We look forward to "meeting" you - come hang out with us...we're pretty cool.

  1. This is a huge step! Yay for Jax! Sorry to hear he’s been dealing with a cold, though. I hope it has passed by now and that he’s feeling better!

  4. What another great hurdle to get over and be done with. Its spring cleaning right! I think we are all stir crazy with this continued snow. I can only imagine after being locked down all winter how much you crave the
outdoors. I’m not so sure how all the daffodils will do. Mine were already coming up before the last snow, we had almost 10 inches by us 🙂 Hopefully the warm temps later this week will break the spell we are under so we can all get out and exercise our lungs. I love how much personality he has in all his pictures. He looks like such a happy boy! Hope you enjoy a little sunshine today 🙂

    1. Our daffodils, crocuses, and tulips were all starting to come up, too. But they look happy still, so hopefully now with all this “water” and the warm sun, we’ll get a good surprise. Spring bulb plants are my favorite – they bring me such joy each spring. For the lat two years, I had been meaning to plant a ton more (I mean, like hundreds!!), but the last two falls have not allowed me any extra time. So – this year is the year it WILL happen!!
