Meet Jax a funny, kind, and smart preschooler who was a micro-preemie born at 23 weeks. Now that Jax is older, the scariness of the NICU has faded, but we're still learning how to manage the lasting effects of prematurity including chronic medical issues, ADHD, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. This is our story of love, hope, and survival.
Little Blue Lamb: Picture Comparison
Happy Friday! Do you guys remember the little blue lamb? Well, I thought it was time to do another picture comparison since Jax is, you know, one year old now.
Then:
Tiny boy. Look at the blue lamb.
Now:
Jax is leaving that little blue lamb in the dust! What do you think about that?
Oh man, what an adventure! I went into labor unexpectedly when I was 23w3d pregnant. Jaxson was born weighing 1 lb 8 oz. A tiny little peanut, but boy was he feisty. He still is! We love it now, but we probably won't when he is a teenager. I write about our journey and all other things that come with it, including a brain tumor. We look forward to "meeting" you - come hang out with us...we're pretty cool.

I have to admit I had a little year in my eye when I saw this. He is gorgeous!
That little blue lamb looks miniature next to him now! It’s been so great getting to read about Jax and see him grow and change. Happy belated birthday, Jax!!!
