Jax’s First Boat Ride

This week, Jax got to experience his first boat ride! I wasn’t sure how he would do with the life jacket and the bumpy ride, but he loved it!

The best part was hanging out with our friends, Ryan and Nicole and their two boys, Jacob and Owen. We’ve known them for years. But, now we have another connection. In November, their son, Owen was born 9 weeks premature. He’s an amazing kid! We joke that these boys are already “trouble makers” and that they will be best friends as they grow up.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! We’re taking Jax to the Minnesota Renaissance Festival! Steve and I went on our first date and now it’s become a tradition for us. It’s going to be an entirely different experience with Jax (a lot less beer!), but I think he’s going to love it.

Oh man, what an adventure! I went into labor unexpectedly when I was 23w3d pregnant. Jaxson was born weighing 1 lb 8 oz. A tiny little peanut, but boy was he feisty. He still is! We love it now, but we probably won't when he is a teenager. I write about our journey and all other things that come with it, including a brain tumor.
