Guys, I’m feeling so proud and excited right now! Today, one of my very favorite posts, How Having a Preemie Changed Me, is being featured on BlogHer! I’ll admit, I’ve been secretly waiting for the email announcing that a post would be featured on WordPress’s Freshly Pressed (no luck there, yet), but I never expected to be featured on BlogHer!
When I got the email letting me know that the post would be featured, I hyperventilated, whooped and hollered, and did a little jig. For those of you that don’t know, BlogHer is a big website that links women (mostly) together and helps them with growing, sharing, and improving their blogs. They have big blogging conferences every year, and women absolutely flock to them. Basically, BlogHer is kind of a big deal. (According to their website, the BlogHer community reaches an audience of 92 million across blogs, Web sites, Pinterest, Facebook and Twitter. OK – so I’m not going to let that go to my head…)
It is so amazing and humbling to be able to share our story across such a wide audience. Maybe it will help other parents going through similar medical traumas. If our story gives one family hope, then, I’ve done my job here.
But, it is really fun to be recognized! Thanks, BlogHer, you’ve made my day!
Congratulations! This verse came to mind when I read the news and your post:
Jeremiah 29:11-13
New International Version (NIV)
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
Many Blessings to all three of you 🙂
