Thankful for a Song and a Dance

Last year, Jax was still on oxygen support and on very strict isolation so we didn’t get to see our families much over the holidays. We missed them!

This year, Jax is on modified isolation restrictions so we get to spend Thanksgiving with our extended family! We are so excited to be a part of the celebration.

And we’re going to enjoy it as much as possible because after this week of family fun, our strict isolation time will begin. (Boo!)

Of course, even though we get to celebrate with our family this week, we will still be very aware of every person who comes in contact with Jax. No sickies allowed! And we are bringing the tub of hand sanitizer and will ask everyone to use it.

And Jax will sing his favorite song “Eeee Iiiii EEEEEEEE IIIIIIIIIII O” at the top of his lungs. Because he will be so happy to be there.

Happy boy

We are so thankful for his smile, songs, and laughter.

No matter how you celebrate, whether you’re at home because of lockdown restrictions or spending time with extended family, I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

We all have so much to be thankful for. Some of us have had a long, hard road. But even in the difficult times, it helps to think about what’s positive in our lives. What are you most thankful for this holiday season?

Oh man, what an adventure! I went into labor unexpectedly when I was 23w3d pregnant. Jaxson was born weighing 1 lb 8 oz. A tiny little peanut, but boy was he feisty. He still is! We love it now, but we probably won't when he is a teenager. I write about our journey and all other things that come with it, including a brain tumor. We look forward to "meeting" you - come hang out with us...we're pretty cool.

Thanks for hanging out with us! Leave us a comment!
