Meet Jax a funny, kind, and smart preschooler who was a micro-preemie born at 23 weeks. Now that Jax is older, the scariness of the NICU has faded, but we're still learning how to manage the lasting effects of prematurity including chronic medical issues, ADHD, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. This is our story of love, hope, and survival.
Boy Meets World (In the Springtime)
Jax loves the outdoors. The Minnesota weather has finally welcomed us all back outside with refreshing, springtime breezes and we can’t get enough.
The first thing Jax does in the morning is run to the door to find his shoes and socks! And I’m not far behind him! I can already tell that it’s going to be an incredible summer…
Oh man, what an adventure! I went into labor unexpectedly when I was 23w3d pregnant. Jaxson was born weighing 1 lb 8 oz. A tiny little peanut, but boy was he feisty. He still is! We love it now, but we probably won't when he is a teenager. I write about our journey and all other things that come with it, including a brain tumor. We look forward to "meeting" you - come hang out with us...we're pretty cool.

So normal! So fun! So great just doing normal everyday toddler things.
Yay – some freedom has done wonders for our mood around here! 🙂
Same here! My boys BEG to go outside every day now. I think the thing I hear most is “Walk please! Walk! Outside!” (in toddler talk of course)
LOL – here, too! Jax often brings me my shoes and puts them on the table when I’m eating breakfast. Ummm – hint much, buddy! 🙂 So fun!
