Meet Jax a funny, kind, and smart preschooler who was a micro-preemie born at 23 weeks. Now that Jax is older, the scariness of the NICU has faded, but we're still learning how to manage the lasting effects of prematurity including chronic medical issues, ADHD, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. This is our story of love, hope, and survival.
Jax and Daddy Jam
If you know us, you know that music is important to us. Most of our vacations center around our favorite band’s tour locations. So, we introduced music to Jax at a very young age. He loves it! He loves to play bongos, his toy piano, kazoos, and now, the guitar.
Oh man, what an adventure! I went into labor unexpectedly when I was 23w3d pregnant. Jaxson was born weighing 1 lb 8 oz. A tiny little peanut, but boy was he feisty. He still is! We love it now, but we probably won't when he is a teenager. I write about our journey and all other things that come with it, including a brain tumor. We look forward to "meeting" you - come hang out with us...we're pretty cool.

My hubby and our little guy do a little strumming together on the guitar before bedtime now. It’s cute!

Haha! Sometimes he bops along a bit but very quickly gets distracted with other things.
