Sunshine and Smiles: Playing Outside in the Spring

Hooray for spring and hooray for freedom! We are officially out of RSV lockdown! These last 6 months of isolation really took a toll on our moods and on our bodies. It feels so good to get outside in the fresh air and play in the dirt. Jax likes it too…

Steve made a trail in our backyard down to the pond. We found our first woodtick already. (Not funny, Minnesota!) There are all kinds of fun things to see and explore in the woods!

What is your favorite thing about spring?

Oh man, what an adventure! I went into labor unexpectedly when I was 23w3d pregnant. Jaxson was born weighing 1 lb 8 oz. A tiny little peanut, but boy was he feisty. He still is! We love it now, but we probably won't when he is a teenager. I write about our journey and all other things that come with it, including a brain tumor. We look forward to "meeting" you - come hang out with us...we're pretty cool.

  1. We get beautiful flowers here in the DC area, cherry blossoms and a lot of other beautiful blooming trees. Unfortunately I have allergies so after a while I can’t enjoy the beautiful weather very much. I think that’s going to be challenging with a toddler.

    1. Oh no! Allergies are no fun. I have some fall time allergies that are annoying. I hope you can find some medicine that works and does not make you drowsy so you can enjoy the sunshine with your little man!
