Jax’s 2nd Birthday Celebration

Gang, it was a great day! Jax’s second birthday was a blast. We were even able to “forget” about the brain tumor and all the other upcoming prematurity-related appointments for a couple of hours as we played games, ate cake, and visited with our family. Hooray!

Coming up in the next 3 weeks: 2-year well-child pediatrician check-up, ophthalmologist appointment, NICU follow-up, neuro-oncologist consultation, occupational therapy, urology consult to schedule Jax’s next hypospadias surgery, and speech therapy. I’m glad we got a little break!

Thanks, everyone, for being a part of our story. We feel uplifted by your positive thoughts, prayers, and hope. Onward…

Oh man, what an adventure! I went into labor unexpectedly when I was 23w3d pregnant. Jaxson was born weighing 1 lb 8 oz. A tiny little peanut, but boy was he feisty. He still is! We love it now, but we probably won't when he is a teenager. I write about our journey and all other things that come with it, including a brain tumor. We look forward to "meeting" you - come hang out with us...we're pretty cool.
