It’s almost been two weeks since Jax’s MRI.
We’ve been having a heat wave in Minnesota which means the temperature is finally above freezing. (Jax has a hard time breathing outside when the temperature is below 20°, so we’ve been stuck inside for the past month.) We built our first snowman! Well, Dad built the snowman, Jax tore its’ head off, and mom took pictures…personally, I think it looks like the snowman is flicking us off. Haha!

We’re still waiting for our “second opinion.” The hospital finally sent all of Jax’s medical records and scans over to the other hospital on Thursday. The neuro-oncology and neurosurgery boards will review Jax’s scans and then call us for an appointment. I like how they take the time to review everything as a group – that means we will have many very knowledgeable people taking an interest in our little buddy. Waiting is driving me crazy, though! I’ve decided that if we don’t hear from them by this Thursday, then I will start calling for information.
I am all over the place lately. Some minutes just feel normal. Other minutes are so overwhelming that I can barely take a breath. I guess that’s part of “brain tumor” territory!
I know I will feel better once we hear what the new doctors think. I’m hoping with all hope that they have the same recommendation – to wait 3 more months for another MRI to check for changes in the tumor.
I can’t and don’t want to think about the alternatives yet.
So, I plan to just fake it until I make it! Jax and I went to the Arboretum with some friends today. We got a dose of the tropics in their greenhouse and made a birdseed ornament. It was a perfect way to spend the day!

Hope you hear something soon
