Picture Comparison: Two ER Trips in Two Years Time

Thankfully, Jax is doing much better today! He’s back to playing and laughing. He is still very sick with a bad cough, stuffy nose, and he gets winded quickly. That part makes him pretty upset – so there has also been a lot of yelling, sobbing, and hugging.

We’ve been having lots of snuggle time with books and “moomies” (movies). He’s been able to rest so that’s good for healing.

I don’t think I mentioned this in my last post, but Steve has been out of town for work the last two weeks. It was really scary having to take Jax into the ER by myself! Steve has to go out of town this week, too, so I’m flying solo again. I hope I don’t have to make any more big decisions this week! Also, I hope that I have enough patience and stamina to last another week solo parenting a sick buddy. Luckily, I get two breaks this week thanks to Grandma Jan and my dad’s girlfriend, Mary. I don’t know what I would do without their help!

I hope that Jax starts feeling better so he’s not so sad and emotional. Poor kiddo – I hate it when he’s sick. 😦

I found this picture of the first time Jax went to the Emergency Room for breathing issues. Awwww….look at how small he was. He was almost a year old here.

He looks a little different here, huh? Now, he’s practically a grown up. 😉

Oh man, what an adventure! I went into labor unexpectedly when I was 23w3d pregnant. Jaxson was born weighing 1 lb 8 oz. A tiny little peanut, but boy was he feisty. He still is! We love it now, but we probably won't when he is a teenager. I write about our journey and all other things that come with it, including a brain tumor. We look forward to "meeting" you - come hang out with us...we're pretty cool.

    1. I know ,right?! I can’t believe how big he looks in that bed. He’s growing up too fast. I use to say “come on kid, grow!” Now, I’m saying “slow down big buddy.”
