Gang – Jax did it again! Today we got good news. The other shoe did not drop – Jax’s tumor is stable. Whew. But, we’re not out of the woods yet. A brain tumor is serious business (more about that later). Jax goes back for another MRI in four months. So, for now, we can breathe a sigh of relief…and then do it all again in July.

For the past couple of days, I had been having dreams that they found more tumors in his spine. Those were not fun to wake up from! Luckily, Jax’s spine looks fine. There is no tethered spinal cord and there are no tumors. They did see a build up of fatty tissue at the base of his spine, but it is not causing any problems. They think this extra fat is a side-effect from Jax’s almost daily steroid use for his Chronic Lung Disease. It’s not an issue right now, but we will talk with our pulmonologist to see if he has any recommendations. Right now, Jax’s lungs are more important that the fatty build-up, but it’s something we will continue to watch.
Today is a day to celebrate! Thanks for all of your positive thoughts and prayers – they work!

Yay! Go Jax!
