Nothing New at Neurology

Gang, Jax had his neurology appointment this weekend. The doctor was nice and knowledgeable, but he did not tell us anything we didn’t already know. It was a waste of time.

He didn’t help us get to the bottom of the fatty deposits. According to the MRI report, the deposit does “exert mass effect” which means it is causing pressure on his spinal cord. But since Jax’s neurological symptoms are very mild, they are “no big deal.”

I’d be happy to just let this one go – to forget we ever found the abnormality, but when every single doctor says “hmmm…I’ve never seen anything like this before” and “this is very rare,” well then, it’s a little disconcerting.

For now, we’ll just wait until the next MRI in July to see if the deposits are changing or growing. Then, we’ll go from there…

Jax never goes by the book, does he? ❤

Oh man, what an adventure! I went into labor unexpectedly when I was 23w3d pregnant. Jaxson was born weighing 1 lb 8 oz. A tiny little peanut, but boy was he feisty. He still is! We love it now, but we probably won't when he is a teenager. I write about our journey and all other things that come with it, including a brain tumor. We look forward to "meeting" you - come hang out with us...we're pretty cool.
