Sprucing Up Around Here

I keep forgetting what day it is – that’s what happens when you have a sick kid and none of your regularly scheduled events actually happen. I think it’s Tuesday, right?

Jax is doing a bit better which is a huge relief! I was certain we would end up in the hospital with as low as his oxygen levels were, but I think we may have caught the pneumonia soon enough so the medicine worked well. Yesterday was the last day of meds, so we will see if he continues to get better or if the meds just made it seem that way.

Little buddy is still sick and very tired. We played outside for a bit yesterday (because it’s finally spring here!) but he got winded and instead of playing on the playground, he wanted to sit on a bench. Anyone who knows Jax will understand the significance of this…Jax never wants to sit down!

So, we’re just plugging along. Hopefully we can kick this bug so we can get out and enjoy the sunshine.

I thought the blog could use a new facelift! It has helped brighten my spirits, so that’s fun. What do you think of the new design and layout? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Oh man, what an adventure! I went into labor unexpectedly when I was 23w3d pregnant. Jaxson was born weighing 1 lb 8 oz. A tiny little peanut, but boy was he feisty. He still is! We love it now, but we probably won't when he is a teenager. I write about our journey and all other things that come with it, including a brain tumor. We look forward to "meeting" you - come hang out with us...we're pretty cool.

  1. At least you know when you’re dude is sick. I always say, that’s the most obvious way I can tell Destroy is sick. He’s still. No questions asked, to the doctor we go.
