A Good Day

Jax is having a very good day! He’s been off of oxygen ALL day – whoohoo!! He’s taking all his medicine by mouth and is eating and drinking with no problems.

So now all we’re waiting on is Jax’s ability to go the night without any oxygen support.

Most kids with pneumonia drop their sats while they’re sleeping because their muscles relax. It’s not unusual for Jax to do fine all day and then dip at night, so this will be a challenge. I think he’s up for it!

He’s turing the corner quicker than we thought, so that is a huge relief. Let’s all keep our fingers crossed that he does well overnight! I don’t want to jinx anything so I’m not going to say what else I’m hoping for… you can probably read between the (home) lines. 😉

To pass the time, we’ve been playing hide and seek. You have to be a little creative when you’re stuck in a hospital room…

Oh man, what an adventure! I went into labor unexpectedly when I was 23w3d pregnant. Jaxson was born weighing 1 lb 8 oz. A tiny little peanut, but boy was he feisty. He still is! We love it now, but we probably won't when he is a teenager. I write about our journey and all other things that come with it, including a brain tumor. We look forward to "meeting" you - come hang out with us...we're pretty cool.
