Hooray for today! One of my posts is being featured on BlogHer! If you remember from last month, BlogHer is a website that brings together women to help grow, share, and improve blogs. The site reaches a huge number of people.
The post they chose to feature is one of my favorites: How Something I’d Never Heard of Changed My Life (Prematurity Awareness Month). It is completely and utterly validating for me when others see the value in what I write. Of course I love my posts ( 🙂 )…but it’s always completely surprising to me when others say they like a post, too. Being selected for a featured post twice on BlogHer makes me very happy!
Also, my first contribution to Preemie Babies 101 went live today! Preemie Babies 101 is a “a social hub where preemie parents [can] band together and help each other through the ups and downs of the NICU and raising preemie babies.” The contributors are thoughtful, articulate, and knowledgeable. It’s pretty humbling to join their ranks and I’m looking forward to being a part of this incredible resource!
You might recognize the post; it’s a modified version of a post that appeared here recently. Go on over to read more about Gearing Up for RSV Season (7 Ways You Can Help). While you’re there, check out some of the other incredible posts! You can expect to see quarterly posts from me on the site. If you have suggestions for a topic you think would be helpful to other preemie parents, please let me know!
Thanks to everyone who voted for Jax in the Preemie Power contest! Unfortunately, Jax did not make the finalist cut. 😦 But, we know he’s our hero anyway, right!? He’s recovering well from the surgery. Today, he is very tired – I think it’s all catching up with him. Poor kiddo…he’s such a tough guy!
Have a great day, everyone!
